On May 1, 1921 charter #929 was issued to St. Catharines by Rotary International.  

The charter president was Canon Bill Broughall with membership at charter minimum of twenty five.  In 1996, our 75th anniversary year, the membership stood at 144, down slightly from the peak of over 160.

Since its inception, assistance for handicapped children continues to be the foremost project of the club, through its association with Easter Seals.  Other community groups are aided with large contributions from the revenue of our annual TV auction of donated items.
