Betty-Lou Souter
Betty-Lou Souter presided over the final meeting for our 86 th president, the "gifted" Larry Iggulden. The Club filled the restaurant of the Niagara Culinary Institute at Niagara College.
Harold Nash said the blessing before breaking of bread, followed by O Canada starting on what Don Shaw assured us was middle "C". We toasted the Queen and Canada.
Guests: After a fine dinner, and acknowledgement of the many guests present, Betty-Lou introduced Larry's long-suffering spouse Irma, and his granddaughters Felicia & Marissa.

Birthdays: A particularly painful rendering of "Happy Birthday" was provided for the birthday boys - Ross Burns, Bill Cole, Terry Wilkes, Gord Armstrong & Bill McKay.

Rotarian in the Spotlight -

Outgoing President Larry Iggulden
President Larry Iggulden - Larry joined the Club in January 1995, sponsored by Bill Campbell. He is a chartered accountant, and has been a partner at Partridge Iggulden since 1984. He & Irma have one child, Christine, and two granddaughters. Larry served as Treasurer of the Club for several years before making his ascent up the presidential ladder. He has been president of the Niagara District Estate Planners, and of the Niagara District Chartered Accountants Association, a member of the YMCA Board, President of St. Catharines Hydro, and currently serves as Chair of the Niagara Police Services Board. Betty-Lou presented Larry with a Paul Harris Fellowship in recognition of his service to the Club as President. In keeping with tradition, she also presented a mounted gavel, and passed on the Henley Rowing print to be held for a year.
